Liesle is a public law and policy specialist, whose experience includes Te Tiriti/Treaty of Waitangi and constitutional law, government and legislative processes, and law reform.
As a result of her previous work as a Crown lawyer, partner at Meredith Connell and barrister, she has extensive experience advising on complex legal and policy problems, and more than 20 years’ commercial and public law litigation experience.
She was a member of Te Kāhui Ture o Aotearoa New Zealand Law Society’s Law Reform Committee for more than a decade, with more than four years as its convenor.
